Different forms of CBD
There are different types of CBD oil:
CBD from PCR hemp
Phytocannabinoid-rich hemp is rich in CBD but still has very low traces of THC. The amount of THC is not high enough to produce any psychoactive effects, so it’s legal in most states.
Keep in mind that most companies do not remove the THC. It is legal but keep small amounts of THC in if it's below a certain threshold.
We feel it's important to offer THC Free options to our customers with our THC Free Broad Spectrum Products. Our third party testing provides a detailed account of what's in our products, and more importantly what's not in our products.
Full spectrum CBD oil
We refer to oils that retain the natural balance of cannabinoids, flavonoids and terpenes found in the original hemp plant, as full spectrum oils. This combination of naturally occurring compounds lead to a synergistic increase in benefits called “entourage effect”. They also contain low levels of THC.
Broad spectrum CBD oil
These take advantage of the Entourage Effect with the multiple cannabinoids and terpenes just like Full Spectrum products. We call these Broad Spectrum because the THC has been removed.
CBD isolate
CBD that has been isolated and purified is known as CBD isolate. These only contain the isolated CBD, all of the other naturally occurring compounds like the additional cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids have been removed.
Isolates do provide some benefits but they are generally looked at as not as effective compared to full or broad spectrum.
CBD isolates can be consumed directly or used as an additive in oils, edibles and beverages.
We do not sell CBD Isolates.
CBD from marijuana
Essential oils can also be extracted from marijuana the same way they can be extracted from hemp. The oils made from marijuana are referred to as cannabis oil.
Cannabis oil may contain very low levels of CBD, but will also contain enough THC to cause a high. This makes cannabis oil a controlled substance and is not legal in all states.
We do not sell any products made from marijuana.
Raw CBD oil
The oils are extracted with no further purification. These are usually black or dark green in color, they contain all the cannabinoids and terpenes. With this type of processing the oil can also contain waxes, chlorophyll, plant solids, and other contaminants.
Hemp seed oil
This is oil produced from hemp seeds, does not contain CBD. We do not sell hemp seed oil.
